Friday Night Show

Manfred Radius
World Class Glider Pilot

A native German, now a Canadian citizen residing in Toronto, Manfred comes
to Rome for our second show. We tried to book him for last year's event, but
his schedule was already full.

So, this weekend you'll marvel at the courage, skill, and originality of this
amazing aviator. He is the inspiration for our Friday night show. Watch as he
glides through a sky ballet with original music, setting off onboard fireworks
as he glides. Watch the patterns of smoke and flames in the air. Then gasp...
GASP...as he finishes his performance. We won't ruin the ending for you.

Before or after his performance, Manfred is most willing to make himself available
for autographs. Visit him in the Performers Tent.

Bob Essell & Jenny
Wing Walker par Excellence

The only father-daughter wing-walker performers in the world. Bob flies an
Ultralight Sport Aircraft... with an outdoor cabin (open air seating). Jenny
rides atop the wing for 15 minutes of scintillating moves... regardless of the
temperature.

Bob and Jenny were with us last year and we asked them to return this year,
especially for the night performance in which Jenny looks like an angel coming
down from Heaven. A real treat! A real thrill!

Both Manfred and Bob & Jenny will be performing in our Saturday and Sunday shows also.

Saturday and Sunday

For 2007, we offer seven outstanding aerobatic experiences. Manfred Radius and Bob Essell &
Jenny have been mentioned in the Friday Night Show portion of this page. Here are thumbnails
of the other four:

Gary Ward Air Shows

He was a last minute addition to our show in 2006, and what a show the spectators saw. Gary was
so sensational that before Saturday's show had ended we knew we wanted to bring him back this year.
So... he's back. Flying aerobatic performances for only seven years, Gary was invited to, and will
perform at, the World's Biggest Air Experience., the Oshkosh, WI show this year. Being invited to Oshkosh
is a great honor and you'll understand why he received this invitation when you experience the experience
Gary produces at air shows.

Enough words! Let his performance speak for itself.

Greg Koontz
"The World's Shortest Runway"

Did you ever try to put an elephant into a thimble? Greg Koontz doesn't do that, but he comes close as
he attempts to land his Piper J-3 Cub on top of a speeding pickup truck. The keyword is "attempts". Does
he make it? Find out for yourself as you gasp for air with his every maneuver. Greg was with us last year.
Will he succeed this year?

Paul Stender
"Speed for Hire"

Everyday you see Dodge Ram pickups on the road. Not this one! It is not powered by a V-6, V-8 or Hemi.
It's powered by a JET engine...and it almost flies. Watch Paul at all three performances as he converts
thrust into speed. And wait til you see him after dark on Friday night! Spectacular!

Oh, yes! He'll bring something else that's jet powered. Try to guess what it is... before you see it
at the show. You may be the first on your block to want one!

Gary Rower Vintage Airshows

Gary Rower brings the grace and beauty of Stearman aerobatics to his trademark, "Salute to NASA" airshow
performance. The show is a dedication to the men and women who make manned space flight possible. The
show, which begins with a Saturn V style launch, is filled with crowd pleasing aerobatics that only a 1940's
biplane provide. It is an up close, personal and elegant display of airmanship and beauty that brings the
full range of emotions to the audience.
